Vienna Lager is one of those styles that proves you don’t need to shout to get noticed. It’s all about balance, elegance and beautifully expressive malt.
This one delivers layers of toasted bread, lightly caramelised biscuit and subtle nuttiness, with a gentle sweetness that’s quickly balanced by a clean, restrained bitterness. A touch of noble hop character adds a delicate floral and herbal edge, keeping the beer bright and refreshing rather than overly rich.
The malt sits right in the sweet spot between pale lager and darker amber beer. There is enough toast and depth to keep things interesting, but still crisp enough to make the next sip inevitable.
It’s polished, balanced and exceptionally easy to drink. Basically, the sort of beer you want sitting beside you when the weather is good and there’s absolutely nothing else you need to be doing.
