Dark lager doesn’t have to mean big, heavy or sweet. Munich Dunkel is all about extracting maximum flavour from malt while keeping the beer remarkably clean and drinkable.
This one brings deep layers of freshly baked bread, toasted crust, cocoa and light roasted nuttiness. There’s a gentle caramel richness, but it’s balanced by enough bitterness to keep the finish dry and inviting.
Despite its darker colour and generous malt character, the beer remains surprisingly light on its feet. A smooth lager fermentation lets the malt do the talking, while restrained hop character provides just enough herbal spice to round everything out.
Rich without being heavy, complex without being complicated and dangerously easy to drink. A proper Munich Dunkel for settling in, raising a stein and pretending you only came for one.
