This traditional English Mild might not be a beer style - or ABV - you associate with Mountain Culture but when it graced our taproom in 2021 it proved such a hit, we've canned it for the first time.
Our brewer Boogie put his own spin by doing a 3-step decoction mash in our Katoomba brewhouse to accentuate the caramel biscuit sweetness of this malt-forward style, before lightly hopping it with East Kent Golding hops. He asked to brew it on the new kit at Emu Plains but we didn’t think Australia was ready for 50 hectolitres of English Mild. Did he prove us wrong?
