Fresh Taps Thursdays in Katoomba with Mountain Culture

High in the rugged landscape of the Blue Mountains, our Katoomba brewpub is the birthplace of the Mountain Culture story. There is a particular shift in the mountain air every Thursday morning; as the mist clears from the valley, the anticipation for a fresh, experimental pour becomes the defining rhythm of the day.
As our flagship location, we transformed this historic 1900s civic building, located in the heart of Katoomba, into a sanctuary for those who view beer as an adventure. It is a space where industrial heritage meets the cutting edge of brewing science, establishing an atmosphere that captures the very best of craft beer just outside of Sydney.


The Weekly Release Schedule
Tracking down the freshest small-batch beer in the mountains shouldn't be a gamble, so we keep our schedule consistent to let the quality speak for itself. While our tap list is always evolving with experimental batches, we always keep our most celebrated icons from throughout the years pouring alongside them.
You’ll find favourites like our flagship Status Quo Pale Ale, the leading beer in the GABS Hottest 100, right next to the rich cocoa and creamy coffee notes of the Moon Dust Stout or the tropical, fruit-heavy Cult IPA. These classics provide the perfect reliable baseline for comparing the bold, innovative flavours of our Thursday drops.
The Schedule: Every Thursday at our Brewpub in Parke St, Katoomba.
The Window: Taps flow from 11:00 am until the last drop is poured.
The Pour: Two brand-new, fresh limited-release beers on tap every single week.
The Variety: From triple-dry-hopped hazy IPAs and experimental fruit sours to decadent pastry stouts and crisp, traditional lagers.

We realise that while Monday to Wednesday is about the daily grind, the "weekend feeling" often hits well before the sun goes down on Friday. That is why we have rewritten the rules for our Katoomba home. While the rest of the world waits for the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, we’ve made Thursday the official start of the conversation.
Getting a head start on the weekend means more than just beating the crowds. It’s about claiming back your time in the centre of one of the most iconic brewery hubs in NSW. Every Thursday morning, our brewers hand-select two fresh creations to take centre stage, offering an excuse to extend that "business lunch" or make a mid-week detour into the mountains. These exclusive pours are available from the moment our doors swing open at 11:00 am.
Whether you are celebrating a win with the crew or just looking for a quiet corner to decompress while watching the mountain weather change, our taps are flowing early. Savouring beer at its peak aromatic intensity, straight from the source, is a highlight of the local scene that you won't want to miss. We recommend arriving a little early, as our stock of our most anticipated limited releases have a habit of disappearing quickly once the town gets wind of what's pouring.
